Xesol Innovation moves office in the capital to the facilities of MIOTI (Madrid Internet of Things Institute) as partners.The Galician company aims to facilitate the automotive sector revolution by speeding up this near future and moving towards the connected and autonomous car. In its efforts to do so, XESOL Innovation has partnered with MIOTI (Madrid Internet of Things Institute), the key organization that makes up THE CUBE Madrid (5,000m2). This innovative work space seeks to bring together the vital parts that form an entrepreneurial and technological ecosystem. THE CUBE consists of a co-working area, prototyping room, Design Thinking room, two iterative classrooms and five IoT laboratories were Xesol has its autonomous car lab (80m2).
This agreement is significant for Xesol. As stated by the Company’s COO, Sergio Hernández, “It will help the development of the business in terms of interaction with large corporations and the visibility and implications of this pioneering project that combines training and entrepreneurship.”
The director of the Institute, Manuel Muñiz, expressed that this type of startup enables technology and innovation to become transforming agents in a sector such as mobility. According to Muñiz, “Their presence in our ecosystem perfectly fits in our education model. We can count on their experience so our students can learn in a direct way from real examples of how technology can change things”.
Javier Esteban, CEO of THE CUBE, highlighted the importance of a startup joining as an ecosystem partner, “I think it is relevant that a startup committed to a revolution within the mobility sector is part of our space.”
MIOTI is an institute specialized in IoT and in practical learning through innovative methods of the latest technological advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics and IoT. It is predicted that IoT will make up 11% of the global economy by 2025 and that there will be 500 billion devices connected to the Internet.
The Academic Council of MIOTI is made up of members of the international technology and education sector such as Adam Seldow, the Head of Education of Facebook, Ludovic LeMoan, the CEO of Sigfox and Blanca Gómez, the Talent Acquisition Director at Microsoft.
This project was created and developed in 2016 within Unlimiteck, one of the most promising company builders on a national level.
