Last September, the Xesol Team participated in CESGAHACK3, an event organized by Appentra that was sponsored by NVIDIA, CITIC (Center of ICT Research) and CESGA (Supercomputing Center of Galicia).

During this week, four teams around the world had the main objective of accelerating the execution time of each team’s applications and reducing coding time.

In order to reach this objective, expert mentors from Appentra, CESGA and RWTH Aachen University were in attendance.

The success and good results of the Xesol Team’s work led to Appentra’s decision to create a case study and take it to SC18 which took place two weeks ago in the city of Dallas (Texas, USA).

This event is an international conference for high performance computing, networks, storage and analysis, and is a global meeting point for experts and companies in the sector.
